Account deactivation

How to deactivate your account and when it is removed permanently.

Deactivate in the app (recommended)

  1. Open the Ownsplit app.
  2. Go to Settings → Deactivate profile and confirm.

What happens after deactivation

Your account is deactivated immediately. You can still reactivate while the account is in this state, according to the options shown in the app.

If you do not reactivate, 30 days after deactivation we permanently and irreversibly remove your account and the personal data we hold for it, subject to technical limits and shared ledger copies described in our Privacy Policy.

If you can’t access the app

Email support@ownsplit.com from the email address associated with your account with the subject "Account deactivation". We may ask for additional verification.
